Milos - M.Case EP RMXD (Label From Bratislava)
Jeff Milligan, Takaaki Itoh, Tomas Jirku und Portable remixen diesen Track von Milos aus Bratislava und allein schon der Jeff Milligan Track ist sein Gewicht in Gold wert. Selten hab ich in den letzten Jahren einen schöneren minimalen Track gehört, der so einfach wie unglaublich ist. Definitiv einer meiner Lieblingstracks des Jahres. Takaaki Itoh wird dann gleich einiges straighter aber ist im Sound auch brilliant, Jirku verspielt und glücklich mit hüpfenden Beats die sein Trademark sind und Portable sehr auf den Dancefloor konzentriert.

Klar, der Hype rings um Toronto ist längst vorbei, aber die Tracks die hier versammelt sind zeigen mal wieder, dass die Posse ganz schön aktiv ist und sich immer weiter ihren Sound entwickelt. Mike Shannons "Irreversible" lässt sich ganz auf die zitternden Dubs zu Bergen satter Basslines ein, Adam Marshall versenkt sich noch tiefer in Dub, Matt Thibbideau kommt mit unerwarteten Popnuancen in schillernd gradlinigem Minimalismus daher, der sich fast schon zu einer ungewollten Steeldrumhymne entwickelt und als Abschluss einer dieser unglaublich zurückhaltenden aber extrem schönen Tracks von Jeff Milligan, von dem ich ehrlich gesagt dieses Jahr ein Album brauche, denn irgendwie ist er derjenige der Canadier, auch wenn er längst ausgewandert ist, von dem ich nie genug bekomme und der einfach viel viel zuwenig releast. Schliess den mal bitte jemand im Studio ein, denn ich weiss jetzt schon das wird das deepeste Minimal Album das man sich vorstellen kann.
